Welcome to the Babcock Learning and Development Partnership area for Science.

 

The Babcock Adviser for Science is Paul Brown. Paul has worked as a science consultant in Devon since 2002 and more recently in the adviser role, providing science curriculum advice across the range KS1 to 5. He has a strong reputation locally, regionally and nationally and is a serving member of the National Advisers and Inspectors Group in Science. He is a qualified Chartered Science Teacher (CSciTeach).

 


The Babcock Learning and Development Partnership Science Adviser can provide advice, training and support through a variety of strategies, in particular:

 

  • Advise and support schools on matters relating to Science.
  • Provide curriculum leadership and inspiration to teachers.
  • Identify, through monitoring, weaknesses in school provision, plan and implement remedial action.
  • Plan and implement a programme of professional development to meet the curriculum needs of teachers
  • Health & Safety advice to Science Departments
  • Radiation Protection advice to schools
